Positive Parenting Tips for Busy Moms with Michelle Gano

August 4, 2022

Are you ready for some positive parenting tips to infuse love, calm, fun and a little structure into your day? Our guest today is Michelle Gano. As a teacher, her focus was to make sure her students always felt loved and emotionally secure. She used the practical tools in her classroom and has also seen them work magic now with her own kids. Michelle sees how quickly time is flying as her own kids grow. That’s why her mission is to share these practical tools with other families to help them fully enjoy these early years while they last and build a childhood their kids want to remember.

In today’s episode, we discuss…

  • The “How I Feel Loved” activity she started in her classroom as a school teacher
  • The differences we see between our children, even when they had the same upbringing
  • Helping children feel the way they want to feel in the best way
  • Why we tend to the lean in to the ways we feel love instead of the way our children feel love
  • Transition meltdowns for littler kids
  • Routine charts for small children as well as older children
  • The importance of independence even in small children and some solid tips to help them be responsible
  • Finding good behaviors and praising them as often as possible
  • Determining your most busy time of day and finding a way to infuse small bursts of fun

Positive Parenting Tips for Busy Moms with Michelle Gano

If you are listening live to this podcast, yesterday my kids had their first day of school. I am willing to bet you are getting close, and my guest today is sharing some great ideas that you can use to create calm, love, and routines as you hit this change. Our guest on the podcast today is my friend Michelle Gano. Michelle and I met in an author’s group, both being published authors, but really connected with our focus on parenting.

Michelle Gano created a brand new course called Fixer Upper Parenting. She is a mom of 3 (her youngest was just born!) and a former school mom of 100+ kids.

As a teacher, her focus was to make sure her students always felt loved and emotionally secure. She used the positive parenting tips she shares today and practical tools (explained in her course) in her classroom and has also seen them work magic now with her own kids. Michelle sees how quickly time is flying as her own kids grow. That’s why her mission is to share these practical tools with other families to help them fully enjoy these early years while they last and build a childhood their kids want to remember.

I am so happy to introduce you to Michelle!
